E.A. KNIGHT CONSTRUCTION,INC. was started by Edd Knight in 1979. Initially he started out primarily in new home construction. But, over the past 40 years we have diversified into residential remodeling, repairs, handyman, and occasional small commercial projects. We now proudly complete hundreds of home remodel projects every year with our talented group of 25 carpenters, laborers, and office staff.

While we still build several homes each year, the lions-share of our projects are geared around working in and around owner occupied homes. This takes a particular skill set that our carpenters and staff are truly exceptional at providing. We are known throughout Southern Illinois for the quality of our work and the professionalism of our workers. And for that we are truly proud! While we are all capable of making mistakes, it is our ability to make corrections and keep the customer satisfied that has helped us to build the strong reputation that we have carried in the community for the last 40 years. We have built the company around nice people that care about what they do. And it shows.

Our services typically include:

Ø Home renovation/remodeling—Exterior/interior
Ø Additions- Single/multi-room
Ø New custom homes- We used to be known for building mega-homes, but know typically limit our house size to 5,000 sqft or less.
Ø Repairs- Insurance or otherwise. Large or small
Ø Handyman- We can fix most anything around the house. $75 minimum.

What to expect with EAKC:

· We have a full office staff, so typically someone will answer the phone when you call during the week.
· We will show up when we set an appointment. Imagine that!!
· We will actually send you a bid when we say we will.
· We will complete our project the way it was bid.
· We will not final bill you until the job is complete and you are satisfied.
